Had a quick search but didnt turn up much, just wanting some peoples experience with running 2 ASUS 1gb 4870 Dark Knight edition GPUs in CF, specifically how hot does yours get?

I have 2 in my i7 rig and since swapping back to using my X-fi sound card (only slot is between the 2 cards) I have to leave the case open and run fans at 75-80% as the temps go crazy at full load (idle around 50c), and its winter here so ambient temps are very low! I would have thought these non reference coolers would be a bit better is what I am getting at.

Also what is a safe temp for these cards to be at under full load?

oh and both cards are not OC'd anymore and its in a Thermaltake v9 case with 2 120mm fans at the front, 1 at the rear and a 200 220 or 230mm (Cant quite remember) at the top.

the cards should take temps anything up to 110c without being too annoyed about it.

I have one of these cards for about 6 months now and another to arrive tomorrow for a crossfire setup. The first card has done very well. CCC reports a temp of 43C right this second and it is overclocked. One recommendation is to check the fastners on each card for the HSF making sure that they are secure or even removing and reseating them with some good thermal paste.
