Format HDD and install XP

Hello,

I'm trying to change the boot priority in the bios settings to boot from my windows xp operating disc but the boot sequence only offers to boot from floppy or the HDD. The slot for CD/DVD is blank. Yet the drive does work when it is in the windows screen. Any suggestions on how I can wipe the HDD and load xp from scratch?

Some BIOSes have a exlude order from boot, see if you have the CD drive listed in that section, and move it over to the boot order.
