I7 2600k Overclocking 4.5 GHz Help

Hey First Time Overclocker Here.
I wanted my i7 2600k to 4.5ghz
So What BIOS Settings Should I Disable and Enable for the Safest OC.
My System:
ASUS Maximus IV Extreme
i7 2600k
MSi GTX 570
Asetek 570lx WC
HAF-X

Disable all the Power saving functions your mobo has.
Make sure you know your max temp for your processor and monitor the temps throughout your O.C.ing as to not exceed the max temp.

Is that a Asetek H50/H70 self contained liquid cooling? or is it an actual water cooling system?

What are your temps at right now under load and idle?

Don't forget to read the O.C.ing stickes in the O.C.ing thread.Lots of helpful hints for first timers.

You should not need to disable any power saving features. Why would you want to anyways?

Unless there is some kind of program your running that your 2600K can't keep up (highly doubtful) or maybe your running 2 or 3 GTX570's (your not), there is no point in overclocking your processor at all except to make your e-peen bigger.

I don't think your e-peen is going to impress anybody here.

Ok I Need Help. I was lowering my voltage on my 4.5 to 1.285 and now my Keyboard isn't responding what should i do Is This The Keyboard or the Overclockings fault?

It's the keyboard.Try restarting or check to see if you may have unplugged it by accident.

He prolly has it stable at 4.5ghz and now hes trying to reduce the voltage to get it tighter.

Does Windows or the company that made your keyboard have drivers for it?Try downloading them.
I have no clue why your keyboard is not working but i doubt it is O.C.ing related.
