How do you repair a FreeNas boot USB. I screwed up and copied a large amount of data to the root directory. The system will not boot now.

I hope you have saved the configuration file - If you do then you it wont be a problem, otherwise re-configure may required

1- Download FreeNAS ISO image
2- Burn to CD
3- Boot system from Burned CD
4- Reinstall FreeNAS to the Boot drive (where the original freenas resides) - DO NOT CHANGE ANY PARTITON
5- Reboot log-in
6- Reload the configured file, if you have it, other reconfigure the system

This project has been on the back burner. I have done up to step 6.
How do I get the old config file off of the old usb and put it on the new usb.
This is very interesting to me but I believe I am a fish out of water when it comes to this OS.
