I have a HP Slim Line s3400f and thinking of buying a Sparkle GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3. Does anyone know what watt is needed? Also, what other things do I need to buy inorder to get the video card to work? Thanks.

i have a gts 250, these are essentially the same cards. i would go for at least 400 - 450 watts, presuming you use one HDD and 2 Disc drives.

I see you have a slimline PC: check the size of the card, and see if it will actually fit. Previously i have made the mistake of buying a too big a card.

further, make sure that you have pci-e power connectors, on your PSU. if not i think you willl be fine sparkle usually sends products with molex to pci-e power adapters. (at least i got them: Sparkle GeForce GTS 250 512MB)

A 9800GT will use less than 120w, so it's that plus whatever else your system comprises of.

My PC have a PSU of 150W, so 120W+150W = 270W ? So, I guess 270 W PSU would be the minimum Watts, but it's alway safer to go a little higher such as using a 300W PSU?

Yes, it is a low profile card. I actually saw that from NewEgg.com

A good quality 400w would give headroom for upgrades and ageing.
