So I've heard the GT300 might launch in October, and features "40nm chip targeting clocks of 700 MHz for the core, 1600 MHz for those 512 MIMD shader cores and nice 1.1 GHz QDR, e.g. 4.4 GT/s for the GDDR5 memory"

Even if DX11 isn't mature, I still feel like I should get it to play DX10 or 9 games maxed out.

Or maybe I should just go with a GTX260 or ATI4870...or wait and see what ATI's new lineup has. (anyone know their release date?)

ATI may definitely be the one with the first DX11 GPUs on the market. There has been lots of speculations, because after all, what else is there. I would be willing to bet ATI (could) have their lineup out before summer is over.

Nvidia beating out AMD with DX11 hardware is highly unlikely. Nvidia pushing DX11 hardware out by the end of the year is a bit more likely.

Note this is not a projection on what series or hardware will be faster.

I sold that system piece by piece.

I am currently a seasonal full time employee at Microcenter, so I'm building a new system at a discount. XD

Try playing the Farcry2 start in dx9 then quit the game and run it again in dx10 and if you cant see the difference then you need glasses.
