Hi, I do not know much about overclocking but I thought I knew enought to atleast get a small oc in but sadly it didn't work out that way.

OS- windows 7 64bit
cpu- amd phenom 2 x4 920 2.8 Ghz
ram- 4 gb ddr2 Patriot 1066mhz
motherboard- ga-m68m-s2p
psu- 550w ocz

Web player of my bios pics I took of some settings that maybe you could look at and tell me how to oc my cpu. All I did was incraese my cpu frequency speed from 200 to 210 and my computer when on the windows logo screen crashes to a blue screen then reboots.

I hopped to over clock my cpu to 3.3 or maybe 3.4 since I have a good cpu cooler, but I am unable to oc my cpu past 2.9ghz.

Thanks for any help

Lower the RAM speed to 800MHz as the frequency increase makes it unstable at higher speeds

Thanks, doing this allowed me to get it up to 3.04 Ghz at 216 fsb. But if I go any higher, the computer boots and run's fine but when I open Cpuid it showing my stock frequency of 2.8Ghz it's like if I go past my max of 3.04Ghz it just doesn't overclock when it boots up. So if I put my Fsb too 220 say and I save it and boot up, cpuid will show 2.8ghz and my passmark for cpu will be normal, but if I put it at 216 fsb it will show 3.04ghz in cpuid and my passmark will go up 5-8%. Is 3.0ghz just my max?

Its unlikely 3GHz is the max. What is your CPU voltage set to and did you change it at all?

What cooler do you have and what are your room temps?

That cooler is not great from what I can tell, I suggest get a 212+ or limit your overclock to what you can run at under 60C
