Recently our Dell Inspirion stop reconizing the DVD drives. When I go to the add hardware it show the two devices, says that the drivers are installed but the devices are not hooked up. THe compture has never been opened to my knowledge? Any suggestions on what the problem may be?

what OS is it?

 

To fix its a registry issue.

Only thing is if u mess something up in the registry you'll most likely have to reload the OS. ( learned this from experience ). Sometimes if u mess up u can run a repair install of windows tho to recover . It depends on what u deleted.
