I am thinking about crossfiring my 4870 on an asus m4a78t-e and i was wondering if it was pci-e 16x or if it would scale down to 8x

"2 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (single x16 or dual x8)"
So it supports CrossFire at dual 8x mode which doesn't have a significant difference with dual 16x.
