Also, the operating system will be Windows 7 as it's main OS.

That psu you have only comes with two pci-e connectors, so it's not going to help if you decide to run SLI...which it's apparent your not. This psu down below is more than enough to push that build and then some. It's also modular, which I would think would be a big plus seeing how your going with that case. Also change out your RAM to DDR3 1600 (1200).

A few questions I wanted to ask you...what is the purpose for going with the micro atx set up...is it for LANS ?,... and what is your monitors resolution ?

The reason for the micro is for portability to lans or to wherever. The monitors resolution is 1680 x 1050. The ocz fatality 550W is out of stock on newegg.

I'd swap the Gene for an MSI X58M, it's cheaper with close to the same features.

Eh I think I would stick with the Asus. I have had bad experiences with MSI motherboards, and the Asus is top of the line mATX for X58 right now. If you want cheaper than go DFI LP JR.

The more I look at that case you have...the pics, it's not all that convenient to haul around seeing it has no "handle". If I was to have a portable case with similar looks, I would want a handle, and of course a case that weighed the same or even less without giving up functionality. I found that case. Also the case I found allows a full atx mobo.

:/ the storm scout isn't really a lanparty case...its a midtower with a handle on it. I suppose if that is what you like then go for it.

I see zero pluses with the micro atx case over the CM. The CM is lighter, has a handle, more room to work with. So what would be the benefits of the micro atx case?

Its smaller, which is kinda the whole point of the mATX build. If he doesn't mind having a Mid tower then the Storm scout is an excellent case.
