Radeon 4870 no audio from hdmi

Hey all,
I want to be able to get audio from HDMI to my 32" samsung HDTV. I only seen to be able to get video at the momment and no audio.

When i goto Control Panel > Sounds and Audio devices > i cant see HDMI out on the defauly playback drop list!..

Ive checked my drivers and they are all update to installed without a problem.

Asus P5Q pro
Q6600
Ati Radeon 4870 1GB DDR5 (dual DVI output)

any help great appricated.

my system gives out the following error message:
"The Audio portion of HDMI is not working properly. The AMD DVI-HDMI dongle currently attached is not designed for this display adapter. To enable audio, connect an audio cable to the back of the 'audio-in' panel found on your display."

Are you using the DVI/HDMI connector from ATI/AMD?

Have you tried the other DVI connector?
