Hi guys,
I just bought a 9600 GT from a vendor. It says 9600GT Smart TC 1 GB 512 Mb / 128-bit / DDR3
Whats the difference between it and a normal 9600 Gt??
It doesn't even require a Power connector. I didn't plug it into the system. i just wanna know the real difference.

I wanna know how good it is.
Here is the page from PALIT website:

PLEASE REPLY GUYS.

Does it have bus width 128bit? Download gpuz and check.

ya
It is 128 Bit and only 28.8 GB/s as per GPU z but it plays Crysis at 1440x900
at medium ( high water clarity) - 33 fps on avg
at high - 23 fps on avg
very much impressive and not even a single power connector. A bit better than a HD 4670 for the same price

yeah , i got the same card 9600 GT "Smart TC" 1GB (512) , it's fine , this card is pretty enough to play all the recent new games , i thought it is 512 mb , when i checked it shows 1024 mb in my display adapter properties , i don't feel any difficulties ,so smooth while playin the recent high texture game starts like" turning point " dont remeber the full name , when i configure for video playback settings , looks cool , noise free fan on the card , & power 400 w is enough for this card to rock ,i am satisfied anyway ,valuable card for the money , i love palit , thanx

HD 4670 & palit 512MB 9600GT TC1GB both same price ? ,

how much u bought for ? pls let me know the price in inr

In all other games 738/999 - 100% stable

While in some games i even OC to 747 /1017.
This card is a massive overclocker dude.
I bought it at Hyderabad( i live here)
Great card for my 1440x900 resolution.
Whats your max or native resolution dude????

Reply to teja92

I have downloaded EVGA Precision tool. Its great. Google it dude.Or you can download nvidia ntune from site and apply your own settings.

yo ! , that's cool , i am gonna give a try on it ,

thanxx ! ;)

Reply to balajisinghh

do we need any extra power 500 or 550 w while overclocking the card
& require any special mother boards ?
i have just got basic Intel D945GCNL with dual core E2180 2.0 ghz 1. gb ram with 400 w , is that enough to overclocking this card ?

No need dude
I only have a 350W dell PSU and a G33 MOBO With Q6600 and 4Gb ram
No need of anything more
Just OC with SOftware
And also i recommend you to upgrade to E5200+ 2GB more ram

Reply to teja92

oh no ! , i cant upgrade to E5200 as i am out of budget now take some time , i can only upgrade my ram to 2 Gb my mobo supports only 2.gb , any thing wrong with my E2180 , over clocking the gfx card , may affect processor ?

one more thing , hope ur familiar with PCSX2 , a ps2 emulator
i cant plat tekken 5 game in it , even though i had enough strong GFX 9600 GSO card
i have E2180 & 1 .gb ram

i can see the tekken 5 intro & then goes blank can only hear the sound very slow

do u have any problem with PCXS2 emulator , or my cpu is not strong for this ps2 Emulators ?

Dude as much as i know i think your E2180 is a huge bottleneck to the card.OC it to atleast 2.4-2.5GHz and then about tekken 5.I think it has problems withpcsx2.Try tekken 4.It works.

Reply to teja92

yeah dude , :ouch: i think my processor is not enough strong to bear card ,

i am gonna OC the Processor as u said ,

thanxx for the tekken hint

Reply to balajisinghh
