Hi, currently I have ordered a couple of the parts, waiting for some others. But all in all this is what my build will look like, please give your opinions.

Case:CoolerMaster HAF 932 Case (Not yet ordered)

PSU: Antec Earthwatts 750 (Is this enough power?)

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P (Ordered)

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 with 2 GB DDR2 RAM (Windows XP 32-bit) (2GB enough?)

Graphics Card: Inno3D 9800 GT 1GB (In possession)

Monitor: 22' ViewSonic (In possession)

I didn't chose high-end top notch products because I am on a bit of a budget. But around those prices for those items are suitable. Each are around 200-300 AUD range.

This would be for a mid-high end gaming PC (high resolution for med/low end games & med for high end games) and other general use

Thanks!

PSU should be way more than enough, even if you go SLI in the future.

The PSU is way to much actually. the 9800gt will run great on a 400w..

the 750 antec could run 2 4870's.

My advice is to order a 400cx. @drunkn: SLI wouldn't work on a UD3P.

if your going to get anycard on a ud3p make it a ati. 4770 would of been a way better pick.

Yeah well for now I'm going to stick with the 9800 GT, maybe later on I will switch to ATI.
Will this build last me a few years with the current and up-coming games?
And what kind of RAM should I get?

Did u purchase the 750w already? because you really dont need that power.

get G.skills ddr2 800mhz CL:5 2x2gb.

or the cheap Corsairs.

No not yet, but I don't want to have to purchase another PSU a year or so down the track.
Is 4GB needed for XP?
WIll this build last me a few years?

Your going to Overpower your system getting a high wattage/ampere and a low gfx card.

You get a 450w now, it will last you quite a while since the card is so low.

You really should of came here before purchasing your board aswell. All you needed was the UD3R.

What does overpowering/getting a high wattage/ampere do to the system?
Why the UD3R?

@fullmetall
I just skimmed it and assumed it had already been ordered. I didn't look at the mobo, just agreeing pointing out what you said that you could run a small town on a 750w psu, much less a 9800.

@clemsy
You really should go back and read the sticky...

Budget? Needs?

If youre surfing the internet you don't need to worry about upgrades. If you want to play Crysis we might have some problems.

Your not going to get to play much on a 9800gt at good settings. surfing, you'll be fine, downloading, yada yada.

You can drop the haf 932 for a RC-690.

Get the HDD wd black 640gb + vista 64-bit Combo but, dont know if vista is what you need on such a low end gfx card.
