Recently, my computer has developed some kind of issue with regards to the network connection. Occasionally, I will get the error message that my network cable has been unplugged. This last for about 3 seconds, than goes away again.

I have a cable modem connected to a Linksys BEFSR41 4-Port router, with 3 comps connected, and I seem to be the only one having any problems.

The cables are all fine, and the Router is OK.

I was on the comp all last night and never had a problem whatsoever.

I double checked all connections and everything looks OK.

Weird....

Let me know if you find the cause, I have the same exact problem. I've tested all my cables and they are fine, but I too am using a Linksys BEFSR41. It doesn't happen all that often and doesn't affect my connection at all, just a little anoying when it pops up. ;)

Is there an Ip conflict?
Have you a wireless network?
Had a similar problem with a wireless network & it turned out to be an IP configuration problem.

Try a firmware update if the problem persists.
