Gigabyte P55-UD4P / ASUS P7P55D EVO questions

Hi everybody.

I'm trying to build a new computer, as you can read elsewhere, and I got a couple of questions regarding these boards.

I'm gonna buy:

Core i5
HD 5850
RAM: Will decide, when I've decided which board

The ASUS P7P55D EVO first:

Does anyone have any experience with this board?
If yes, is it a problem that the x16 PCI slot is so close to the RAM slots, if you need to fit a Radeon HD 5850 onto the board?

GIGABYTE GA-P55-UD4P:

Since I live in Denmark, we might have some different names for the products, but could you please tell me, if this board is the same as the one I mention:
http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=640365 - You can press the button called Specifikationer, to see the specs of the board.

As far as I can see, the Gigabyte board dosent support DDR1600 RAM, or do I read it wrong?

Thanks for your help.

Refer: DDR3 1600 support on P-55-UD4P.
Just finished my build of P55-UD4P w/i5-750 (except GPU, using a low end one until I replace it). I had no problem installing G-skill Ripjaw DDR3 -1600 CL-7.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The system booted right up. the memory was set to 1333 vs 1600. Simply changed to "Use profile1" and rebooted - wahla now at 1600, CL7, 1.60 Volts. Ran memtest 86+ for a hr, stable. Loaded win 7 RC and ran Prime 95 for 2 hours - no errors. Back into bios, noted CPU multiplier was 17 (Bclock at 160 MHz) so changed multiplier to 20 X (160 MHz x 160 = 3.2 GHz). Reran prime 95 for 2 hours - stable. Returned to BIOS and reset Muliplier back to 17 (2.72 GHz) for time being.

Is it better than the P7P55D EVO - Good question. Me - I like the Gigabyte P55-UD4P.

RC - Thanks alot. No worries there then, I'm gonna go for the Gigabyte one then.

The only thing that annoys me is that, it dosent seem like you can get those RipJaw RAM in Denmark :(

Here is another G-Skill (Has good reviews on new egg
Advantage - Lower voltage (1.5 V vs 1.6V), Cheaper.
Disadvantage - CL 9

or - Cl 8, But cheaper than RipJaw

Barring that, I would check the reviews at Newegg for some of the other brands (I know you can not order from them). Look to see if people are having any compatability issues, primarily with the UD4P
