I'm looking to upgrade my PSU to a fairly cheap but good quality 500w Model. From my research two models attracted my attention:

Antec Earthwatts 500W:

OZC ModXStream Pro 500W:

NOTE: Prices do not matter too much as they are both pretty similar in price in the UK (where I'm from).

I'd buy the Antec Earthwatts if the prices were the same.

Actually the ocz is a bit stronger ( 18a vs 17a on the 12v rail). And the ocz is cheaper, so the ocz.

Are you limiting the choice to just those two power supplies or are you open to suggestions? If you are open to suggestions please list your pc components.

I've narrowed it down to these two, I'd rather not go into open suggestions again because I don't want to spend much more time deciding & i'm prone to indecision. So really, unless you have a suggestion that is a hugely better choice I'd rather not hear it (no offense).

As for components, well, I stupidly bought a pre-built non-gaming PC & am slowly trying to update the hardware, so I am unlcear on some of the components as the supliers of my PC weren't very detailed on the components:

Intel Quad-Core Q6600 Processor
Unknown Motherboard
3GB Unknown Memory
Nvidia 9600GS
750GB Unknown Hard Drive
220W Unknown PSU

220W running a Quad core :o :o

Get the ocz, at that price you cant get better. Maybe for 10$ more get the 600w version much better. ( if thats the case in UK)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817341017 then you will be able to overclock more.

Are you sure its a 220W?

Yeah, it says 220W on the side of it. Damn Manufacturers, I think they gave me the absolute minimum wattage PSU that could still just about run the system. They also underclocked my 9600 a load to make up for this. That's really one of the main reasons I want to upgrade.

Since it is a 220 watt psu, do you have a micro-atx power supply in a micro-atx or slimline case?

Based on this review:

I'd go with the Antec. No contest.

Twoboxer, theres a good reason why people were worried when OCZ bought PCP&C.
