the fusion was delayed because of driver and compatibility issues with games, its not easy making two different engineering strategies work together, the 4670 has 320 spus, yet is just as powerful as the 9600 gt which has 64, not to mension gddr sharing etc, and i really dont believe nvidia can influence msi's decisions

^^ Considering MSI is a NVIDIA board partner, NVIDIA can exert a lot of pressure if need be...

That being said, according to what I've read, the delay was basically due to extra driver testing.
