First-time GPU Overclocker

Hi everyone, I have an HIS 5850 iCooler V

I'm currently running MSI Afterburner ontop of my ATI Catalyst and I'm already OC'd on my processor but I have not much idea how to overclock my GPU.

I'd like an overview to what it is, how to do it and if there's anything specific for my card that makes things different (like ATI vs. NVIDIA differences, etc)

Any guides that might be helpful? Thanks in advance!

My suggestion is don't overclock your GPU, they're not as forgiving as overclocking your CPU, of course my suggestion comes from screwing up 2 cards in the past and learning the hard way.

Hopefully you won't have to learn the same lesson the hard way.
