O.k. Newb here!
i have a HP compaq DC 7100 (in a SFF box)
its a Pentium 4 -2.8 Ghz and i have put 1Gb of ddr400 ram in it
its PSU is 240Watts(my limiting factor),
So i need to get a low profile card that fits the PCI express 16 slot.
i own the elder scrolls Oblivion game and would need a card that will run that but still keep my system under the 240w usage...
any help will be greatly appreciated!!

1. you have a lot of parts that need upgrading but i assume you know that and dont want to

2. ATI 4550 low profile, at gaming peak it draws less then 20w and comes with a fan

so that card will run oblivion o.k. on my machine?

you mention upgrading other parts?... what other upgrades would you suggest,that is in acceptable realms(i.e not spending enough money and effort that would be better spent on a new machine).

well...with that video card you will be able to run Oblivion on low-medium settings depending on your screen size. this sight will help you out

see if you can add an extra 1GB (for 2GB total) cheap. look into Overclocking your CPU a bit

but don't invest any serious dollars into your PC, basically everything you have needs to be upgraded for today's games. but if you get that video card, OC your CPU a bit , add ram, you could play pre-2005 games on medium settings with ease
