Why won't my DVD RW drive read a genuine DVD

Hi Guys

I have a Sony Optiarc DVD RW AD-7200a ATA device in my rig, which I have had for a while, but it works great! (http://www.sonynec-optiarc.com/products/hhid_dvdrw/ad7200.html)

I recently bought Family Guy Season 9, which is a 3 disk set. I can play disk 1 and disk 3 fine, but the drive refuses to read disk 2. If I explore the drive, I can't even see the VIDEO_TS file etc that should be on the disk. However, after putting disk 2 into a mates laptop, it runs fine.

The DVD is region 2, as is the DVD drive, with the latest driver installed.

I have used daemon tools before, and I'm not sure whether this could be interfering with it, but I don't know why it should.

Is it time to invest in a new DVD RW drive or could there be a problem with the setup/disk.

Many thanks in advance.
