Audio Dell xps420

I replaced the psu on my Dell xps420 and the Computer is working except there is now no sound of any sort.
All audio is reported working in control panel > audio and in device manager.
Nothing is muted and the speakers are connected properly.
I fear that I have disconnected something inside but I don't have a diagram of the MB.
Help!

Check volume settings.
Check that the speakers are working and properly plugged in.
Check your application volume settings.

Thanks - I have checked all the bits mentioned above and with new speakers but no good. The diagram of the schematics is very handy. Thanks again. Must have failed to reconnect something. But what connector feeds the jack output??

There should not be a connector for the back sound jacks.
The jacks are integrated in the motherboard.

I'm embarrassed to say that it turned out to be a software sound driver conflict. The new graphics card installed its own sound without asking! Both were active so I deactivated the ATI driver and sound is back... Sorry for the red herring.

That happens a lot with ATI cards.
I had the same problem with a 3850.
