Athlon II X4 620 Propus (Deneb?) 2.6GHz on Sale

Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz: $126 plus $7 shipping

Most likely AMD has rebadged a Deneb to take a little steam out of the Intel i5 roll-out this week. As has been noted some Athlon II X4 Propus 620/630 CPUs can be unlocked into Phenom II X4 Denebs

The 'real' Propus should be out in a month or so with a die size roughly 60% of the Deneb die. The real deal will have no L3 cache on die. The 'Deneb' Athlon II x4s will have a 65-95w rating and the actual Propus A-II x4s will be rated 45w-65w with an estimated starting price of $100.

When the real Athlon II x4 Propus comes out the 2.8GHz 630 should be around the $125 price point (if you believe what is seen on the internets). I imagine the 620 will be $10-$15 less expensive.

That would put the 45w quad Athlon IIs at $100 - $110.

I thought the cinebench #s were interesting but we probably won't see major sites with benchies until Oct - i5 will be in the headlines at least for the next 2-3 weeks.
