Hi guys, just finished a new build and the DVD drive won't open. The computer posted, and I set the primary boot disk as the "CD drive" under bios. I have no idea why the drive won't open, both power and SATA cables are connected, and the LED light shines for about 10 secs after pressing the eject button on the drive.

Take a paper clip, straighten it out and insert it into the small hole on the front of the drive to pop it open, make sure there isnt anything jammed in there and see if it can automatically close itself. you may have one with a dead motor.

I tried that, and there's nothing jammed in there. I think it's DOA, which really sucks. Oh well, I'll just replace it tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
