I've read a ton of reviews on newegg for the Zalman VF3000A, and a lot of them are about the card getting bricked. Some of the 5 egg reviews offer a way not to brick the card, and admittedly a lot of newegg reviewers are just plain retarded. The rest of course are haughty EE majors who just "couldn't figure out what the problem was..."

Anyone have any real insight on this and how to prevent it? I'm not willing to get the thermalright shaman or spitfire with vrmr5 because I don't have enough money, although that would have been my second choice. (I'm not even sure it would fit in my mid tower case. Thermalright shaman definitely doesn't because it only faces down, and my psu is within 4 inches of my top video card slot.)
