I have an old 920 i would like some help with

The motherboard i have for it is a Asus P6T V2 Deluxe

OCZ Platinum XTC DDR3 PC12800/1600MHz CL7 3x2GB (have to set the speed manually on those)

I run it at 3.2ghz stable right now, but would like to go up to 3.6. I use a thermalright 120 extreme cooler.

I welcome any help :)

Continue with the same overclocking procedure and go from 3.2 to 3.6; if the system is stable and the temps are fine, you will have no problems at all.

My i7-920 is currently running at 3.82 GHz, idling at 30 degs C on a CM V8 heatsink.

Just as in the past, start with the LOWEST RAM multiplier and gradually increase the baseclock speed while paying close attention to the temps.

This is a great guide:

Increase the CPU voltage slightly if necessary, but do not exceed the max limit of 1.375 Volts.

It is ok if the RAM is slightly underclocked in the process. My 1600 RAM is running at 1452 (underclocked).
