My volume wont work

I have a compaq presario r3000 and the volume wont work. I know it has nothing to do with my sound card. Because i can still hear other noises. I tried location my volume, but it says i dont have this program. Does anyone know where i can get it?

Control Panel. Perhaps ask a higher Deity for complex issues such as this.
