Seems to be a shortage of this card nowadays. Does anyone know when manufacturers can roll out more units? Also, any online retailers that still claim that they carry this in their stock?

www.newegg.com currently has the HIS HD 4770 for $120.

It is currently June 23rd 11:50pm EST.

Considering it's more expensive than a few HD4850 (MSI $30 cheaper) and just as pricey as many of them, it's a tough sell unless you really need low power consumption and heat and don't mind a little less performance in more situations.

The 4850 is faster but uses a bit more power.

get a 4790 when it comes out, it's a cut down 4890 that performs better than the 4870. apparently.

Sigh... getting something a few hours/days/weeks before something more awesome comes out is a fact of life

Thanks guys! I'll probably save up for a higher-end card then, with all of this messy "low-priced" EPU supply & demand economics

I am still waiting for them to release a 1 gig version of this card. Hopefully sometime soon.
