Halogen free?

in intel's processors, what is halogen free? is it better or bad to have halogen? im thinking it's better w/o halogen but im also thinking otherwise because those halogen free processors are put at the bottom of the heirarchy (check my link above, you could also try other processors if you want).

halogen doesn't come with any advantage or disadvantage, the processors performance is the same. it's just a change in the manufacturing process to create more environmental friendly producing.

Well supposedly all caustic materials would be enclose within the cpu themselves, that's why you shouldn't dispose of electronics in the regular trash. As long as you don't crush your processor and inhale it, i don't think halogens or not are getting inside you XD

How close do you sit to your CPU? If you manage to breathe in Halogens your cheek must have replaced the heat sink. It's just a change in manufacturing that looks good from a marketing perspective. Every company wants to look "green" now.

It's a significant environmental advantage when it comes to the disposal of CPUs. For your health, sitting next to the computer? No difference whatsoever.
