Vista problem

k...i installed vista like 2 months ago and now the color scheme of my appearences r at windows classic( the active window)...i cant go back to normal(aero i believe)
i try to go to windows>resouces>themes and click on the aero but a message pops up and says "the theme cannot be loaded because the theme service is not running.
please help..i spent hours but cant fix this.
i downloaded another them but it still donsnt change

here's a couple things to check:

1. go to "system" and check the bottom to make sure your windows is activated
2. from the system screen, click on performance and make sure your scores are all at least 3's
3. did this happen after installing SP2? I haven't heard of any problems but if it happened after installing an update... Try uninstalling it.

what version of vista do you have? I have problems using dreamscene using ultimate but everything else works

yea...i think it was after the update...all this weird stuff started to happen....how do i uninstall
