hi,i recently purchased a xfx ati radeon 4870 graphics card,i installed it,connected the power cables but when i started my pc the cpu/chipset/memory error light came on on my motherboard and pc didnt boot,i re installed my old 4850 and everything was fine again,any1 got any ideas/help?

Mind asking a friend if he can try out the card on his or her computer? That way you can isolate the card as the problem if it is indeed so.

Yeah I dont see the point of your "upgrade". The 4850 and 4870 are the same identicle card but one has DDR3 and one had DDR5.
