Just bought a Hyper212 + for my core 2 duo E6850 at 3ghz. I have never overclocked before but slowly starting to understand the whole FSB x Multiplier just the whole voltages scare me. Before I had a stock intel cooler and using CPUID monitor it showed i was idling around 50c and when using prime95 for a few minutes it jumped and stayed around 70c and now with the hyper212+ idle is around 38c and prime got it to around 49c so about a 20c drop which im guessing is good (I live in Hawaii) just want to know if anyone knows maybe how far i can push this or give me simple instructions how to take baby steps to overclock. I would like to get it to 3.5ghz.
