Hello,

I bought a GTX 550 Ti but after doing some more homework I bought the wrong card. I am going to take it back and exchange it for another one in it's price range but I need some advice in choosing a replacement.

The card cost $154.99 and I am not looking to spend anything more than $199.99.

I was thinking about a GTX 460 1 gig but that doesn't allow for DX11 (if I am not mistaken) so that lost some appeal. I've gone back and forth between several ATI cards, so I definitely need some advice narrowing the filed down.

well for $199 try to find a AMD 6870 if not a 6850 both better IMO also check benchmarks as all cards will differ game to game. So what ever games you play the most pick a card that does well there. Also there is a gpahics card list here at toms that breaks it down by price here.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-graphics-card-radeon-hd-6990-geforce-gtx-590,2912-3.html

that says 6850 for the price under $199

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102913&cm_re=6870-_-14-102-913-_-Product

Thats a 6870 on newegg for under $199 after rebate.

Both great cards :)

I just posted on your other thread but this one answers what I was asking if you are on Newegg the best card <$200 I can find is a 6870 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102913 unless you want to go for a recertified 470 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133341 which gives better performance but is very power hungry and only has 90 day warranty. see comparison here http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/311?vs=290&i=188.187.192.191.190.193.194.195.196.238.197.199.200.201.202.203.204.205.206.207.208.209.210.211.212.213.214.215.216.217.218.219.220.221.222.223.228.232.233.231.229.230.234.235 I would get the 6870 unless you want to save a bit and get a 6850.
