Whenever I try to overclock my GPU AMD system monitor shows that the core clock never exceeds 500mhz. The memory clock is at 1200mhz. core clock idles at 157mhz and mem clock at 1200mhz. Im using MSI afterburner to try and overclock and GPU tool as a stability checker. No matter how high I set the core clock it never exceeds 500mhz in system monitor or CPU-Z. Also now in CCC I can't even adjust the core clock, the option has just dissapeared from the menu, only the memory clock can be changed? And I can't remember if the clocks were changing in overdrive before. I really hope this is some settingI just need to change because I can't RMA the card.
Thanks.

So if anyone has a similar problem. I solved it by going to this page:http://www.overclock.net/amd-ati/640063-unofficial-how-flash-ati-cards.html and following the instrustions on there to flash my GPU BIOS. Now running at 850 mhz.

Thanks.

Yeah. Just got to that guide follow instructions make sure you get the right BIOS for your card from techpowerup.com. THen make sure to rename the new BIOS something easy to remember like newbios.bin so you can remember what to type onto DOS when flashing.
Thanks.
