SATA II in Cable in SATA 3 Port

Will it work I plug a SATA II cable from an HDD in a SATA 3 port on the motherboard? Thanks

SATA cables are SATA cables, so, can work without problems.

The answer to your question is yes. Although there have been improvements in data transmission rates, the international standard for SATA cables remains the same. You may find cables being advertised as SATA II (3 Gb/s) and SATA III (6 Gb/s) but they are the same. Sometimes advertisements try to influence people to buy products that people do not need.
