I once saw a mod to build a circuit which would make a neon light have a breath effect. I really would rather not do it myself....to many other things to do. Does anyone know of any thing for sale that would do this?

Google is your friend (breathing neon light), scanned a thread, learned about "the wayback machine", moments later had this link:

That what you looking for? Total search time 2 minutes.

Assuming you took the time to develop a realtionship with Google on this topic, probably not.

711dman - I haven't seen any throbbing controllers for sale, but you could make the one above or find someone who will (they make it, you give them $$$). The parts are cheap as for that project, only pain in the ass is really making the circuit board if you haven't done it before.

You can buy sound control modules, that change the lighting depending on sound levels. Throbbing would definately be cool though, tempted to try it myself at some stage (I have the stuff, just need the motivation!)

Butcher a dead mac and steal the controller from there - doubly satisfying!

I asked because we get a wide range of individuals in here ranging from 10 to 90, and seeing how you didn't pick up on the implications of a "throbbing controller" i though you may be young in which case i would have to explain this differently.

So first off people here will help you help yourself out of the kindness of their hearts, for no other reason than we like computers and we like helping others. That said we will not do for you what you could do for your self, believe it or not we do have lives.

So two box found your controller in two minutes and posted directions on how to do it in case you didn't know how to do this.

You were then told to google it, your response to which implied you did

You then implied you didn't search

thread is going to go downhill quick at this point

I tried to save it by explain to you the same as I've said here

then the crudity hits, though it was rather amusing

Followed by the witty response, though even cruder

Thread is gone now

At which point you walked in and asked for it so I figured you were probably young and wanted to put a halt to this.

We are here to help those who want to help them selves. The best example I can give is the kid who wanted to hook up led's in his case i didn't draw him a circuit I explained how they worked and told him what areas of electrical design he would need to study to balance the voltages. At which point he did research and learned something.

You were told to use google if you did a thorough search and didn't find it then it's not there, if you didnt' search it's not our problem you are lazy.

FYI
the throbbing controller they are now referring to has nothing to do with a computer

You probably don't deserve this but here you go.

PROTIP: search "Pulsing LED" instead of "throbbing neon".
