PC mark vantage froze my comp after i tried overclocking

so i tried over clocking and then i tried to run these bench mark test and my computer froze. what do i have to adjust to get a stable overclock? right now I have a E6850 at 1475mhz(rated fsb) x 9 making it 3318.6 mhz and 1.312v. umm all these other voltages I left on auto because my computer didnt seem to start up if i changed those. (NB voltage, memory voltage)

after overclock if ever you ever test it first? before doing becnhmark you must test it before it's up to want to use the P95 (long time) or IBT (smart time)
