Cursor can't keep up with keystrokes

Hello, My Google cursor started stalling and disappearing about a month ago. Wrote to Google, they said the combination of XP and IE9 might be the problem, and I should try deleting cookies and cache before exiting IE. Those are NOT the causes, as I have IE8 and have been deleting all browsing history when exiting for more than a year. However, when I launch Safari and use the Google toolbar, the cursor works just fine. So goodbye IE8.

Good move ! - I switched from IE8 to Firefox, and found response time on all sites much much quicker, as well as switching tab browsing etc.
