ok i have leftover of pentium extreme edtion 840(no hyperthreading) + PNY 2gb ddr2 667(1gb x2, dual channel) + geforce 8600gts 512mb gddr3. can it run game under vista x86 (only os i have left with license key)? i planing to set a pc with these compound for my mom who only play second life and world of warcraft. also she has mcfee home edition, will it hurt the performance in gaming?

will that 2gb be enough?

Solution
Second life is a strong application for GPU and RAM, make you sure that the PC don't have many process run at the same time that your mom run second life or this could be a torture.

the only background process is mcfee firewall/security center(i'm not familiar with mcfee though.....) other like skype/icq had been disable from startup in msconfig. msn explorer/ windows messager/ update root certificate were remove after installation. many windows service also disable too so basically mcfee is the only issue i'm being concern about.
