Alright so I have a 17-inch flat panel LCD Xerox monitor (Product number: XR3-17Gs) that I got from a buddy of mine knowing there was already a problem with it, but figured I might ask the community. I connect it up to my graphics card and turn on my computer, monitor on and everything yet when my computer boots up I get the monitor boot-up screen and then nothing, full black screen. It could very well be a faulty wire but I don't have much experience in the way of monitors, any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance

As you said, first thing to check is the cable. Do you have access to a spare to try?

It's a 3-prong female connector which aren't near as common as basic computer cords but I'll see if I can find a spare one. I'm thinking it may be an internal problem, in that case I could just take it in to a repair shop
