seemed to be a simple choice but then ppl said no to the Seagate Barracuda 1TB and recommended the Samsung SpinPoint F3 ..I've heard loads of times about how the Barracuda gets bricked and how it isn't much of a performer ..I'm building a 1200$ rig so performance defiantly matters ..I want a good single drive ..ill put it on RAID0 later on ..just recommend a good 1TB drive under 60-70$ ..thanks :)

Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB is the better drive over the Seagate 7200.12 1TB. You would be making the right move going with the F3... IMO.

You would need to look at the Western Digital 1TB Black SATA III 6.0 Gb/s (if have SATA III) or the newer Samsung Spinpoint F3R (which I believe is the updated version??). These cost a little more money for a little better performance.
