Hey guys,
My old PC (10+year old HP Pavilion 9870) that I'm letting my girl use can't hold many pics/vids from our Playsport Zx3 without not being able to start up...it just would do a continuous loop trying to start up windows XP until I took the H-Def videos and pics off. It is starting up fine now, but we need a place to put all the HD video and pics now.
I am thinking I want at least a 1 TB external hard drive. I'm looking for a best bang for the buck type deal, but I'm really not that familiar with external hard drives. I'll list some deals I've found so far, but would appreciate some feedback/advice.
Iomega 1 TB eSATA 3 GB/USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34280 $98.98
Iomega eGo 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34836 (Jet Black) $85.48
iomega Select 1TB USB 2.0 Black Portable Hard Drive 34827 $84.99 until 2/16
Seagate 1TB Expansion External Hard Drive ST910004EXA101-RK (USB 2.0 powered) $79.99 expires today 2/12
HITACHI XL Desk 1TB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive HXSDNB10001BBB (0S02484) $69.99
Western Digital WD Elements 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive $69.99
That's all I've found so far, but if you guys have any ideas...I'm mostly looking for high quality at a low, low price and would go for a 750GB or 2TB if they were ridiculously good deals.
While I have you here...any opinions on a regular internal hard drive? I'm building a new system and am trying to find parts for the best possible value at the highest performance/quality (started with an XFX 850W for $89.99...so looking for those kinds of deals). I plan to complete it at about this time next year (hoping 2500K will have gone on sale at some point).
Samsung 1 TB Spinpoint 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.5 inch Bulk/OEM Desktop Hard Drive HD103SJ $62.95 This any good? Do you have better ideas?
Please feel free to message me if you know of any spectacular deals.
Thanks,
-TG
