system is as follows:

Phenom x3 8400 (2.1ghz)
Zalman cnps9700
MSI K9A2 Platinum (latest bios as of today)
2x2GB DDR2 1066 Corsair Dominator
XFX Radeon 4870 1GB
2x Seagate Savio 36GB 15K SAS Raid0
Silverstone DA1000 PSU
Sata dvd drive
Vista Buisness x64

with my usb keyboard and mouse connected the post is painstakingly slow and when in bios i can press down or any other direction and it will move the selector, then it will stop moving for a few seconds then move how ever many times i pushed the key while it was "frozen". if i un hook the usb keyboard and mouse (un hooking one does not solve the problem) and connect a ps2 keyboard and boot or access bios it will work fine. also usb thumb drives do not affect operation when using ps2 keyboard. the problem is made worse if i use usb keyboard and ps2 keyboard at the same time. if i use a usb to ps2 adapter on just the keyboard with no other devices conencted it does not see the keyboard and post is still slow....

Please help!
