it really depends
if you want something semi-future-proof then go for a MSI 790FX-GD70 mobo with a decent cpu and upgrade it in the future when amd releases more processors (hopefully something that can compete with the i7)
the am3 socket is sure to stick around for another 3-4 years
and it supports up to DDR3 2133 if you're into that sort of thing
