Try this:
Insert a CD.
Right click My Computer > Manage.
Click Disk Management.

If CD does not have a drive letter, Click Actions, change drive letter

If you are not familiar with modifying the system registry, then get someone who is, before applying this resolution.

still no luck,, going to change the drive

replaced drive.does not show in device manager or bios,
I can get it to show in device manager when i hit scan for new hardware,it says that i need to restart, i restart and lose it
