Can the GTX 295 run with my mobo and CPU?

Is it true that you need a good CPU and a good motherboard to take full advantage of a GPU?

More about mobo
  1. true on the CPU and slightly true on the motherboard, a compatible motherboard would be a more proper way of saying it.
  2. On the other hand, if you use a CPU that's a bit too weak to use the full power of a GPU, nothing bad will happen. In most cases, you can use the spare GPU power to bump up the AA and AF.

There are some scenarios where there simply isn't a CPU fast enough to take full advantage of a GTX 295. It depends on the game and settings.
