If your laptop has a wireless adapter it should be able to detect your wireless router in its user interface (or in Windows Wireless Network Connection). Select your wireless router's signal and if you know the wireless security type (WEP WPA etc) and the wireless security password supply those and off you go.
If you don't know the security type and password, consult the wireless router's literature or download the manual and log in to the router's setup pages and go to wireless settings. In there either note down the password or set a new one.
my network is setup with a wireless security type of WEP, and the Linksys menu box comes up and I have to enter the WEP security key each and every time I try to logon... where can I enter this key to have the linksys keep it for easier logon???
