Install all Hardware
Boot check for errors etc..
Once booted go into bios to check if hard drive is seen.
Bit blurry from here need a way/tool to partion hd maybe can do in bios dunno.
Skip partion boot from cd/dvd drive with vista, install. Will vista show up the partion side of the hd? How do i install vista on the partion?
Install latest drivers/ maybe update motherboard bios
Ok, i get how to install all the hardware no probs ill just read the mobos manual and the parts manuals. Look at a few videos on youtube
But what the tricky part is installing the os.
I bought a oem window vista home premium 64bit, so do i need to partion the hd. How much?
What are the benefits.
How do i partion a hd without floppy drive
Any tools out their that i can use/recomend.
You don't need to partition the hardrive unless you want to run more than one operating system on the computer.
Just go into the BIOS and set boot priority to the optical drive and insert the windows installation disc. Reboot the computer and then it should say something like "Press any key to boot from CD". Do that and then it will start loading all of the windows installation files then just follow the directions it gives you and you'll be all set.
I think you are mistaking partition with format. During the windows installation you will be required to format your primary hardrive using the NTFS file system but you don't have to do that before you install windows.
I think instead of "secure" he prolly meant "robust". Its hard to break - at this point, anyhow - you may have issues to resolve, but they won't likely occur because you did something wrong while doing a clean install.
