Yellow power indicator

The power indicator light on my HP is yellow instead of green. I have no sound or video although I know that the monitor is fine. Help!

Monitors display a yellow power indicator when they are on but have no signal, check your video cable

My monitor displays a yellow light when connected to a PC that is turned off, but shows a "check cable" warning when not connected to anything.

How do you know the monitor is fine? Tried with another system? Have you got another cable to test? Another PC?
