M2N78-LA & GeForce 9100 Chipset

Hi folks, I'm looking for the following:

My son (and a lot of other folks) have purchased HP systems with the M2N78-LA Pegatron motherboard made by Asus for HP. The specs shown on the HP Web site ( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01635734 ) show a PCI Express x16 slot, but do not show which version it is, as in 1.0 or 2.0. Is there a system information tool I can run on this system to show me more detailed specs and chipset info? NVidia has zero documentation that I can find on what HP simply calls the "NVIDIA GeForce 9100 chipset".

Thanks for any and all assistance.

  1. download GPUZ and run it. that should tell you what type you have.
  2. Thanks much...I knew there was something out there like that...and that was exactly what I was after.
  3. After folks got various boards into it, it was confirmed as a 2.0 series slot when it has a 2.0 card in it...which is what we were after in terms of info. Thanks for the GPU-Z suggestion.
  4. I got a manual from the manufacturer in China.

I posted it in a public folder on Window Live. It is a PDF document with much more documentation than is available at HP.

    Hope this helps.
