There is no disk in the drive coping files in dvd/rw cd xp

Hello, i have family pictures in files, 001,002 etc. i try sending them to the dvd/cd and get a message no disk in drive. find a writable disk. i have proper disk in drive because i have used the same exact ones before,

You can't write files to a CD or DVD without the proper software. You need what is known as burning software. Nero is a good example of such software. When you use it, you select the files you want to put on the disk, set the burn parameters (limited by the disk you're using), then wait. I burn about 11 GB every time I run backup, doing this across 3 disks. I'm unaware of any unlimited, malware-free freeware burning programs though - search Google or wait for someone else to respond.
